Cookies and local storage

At a glance

Without your consent we set no cookies for analytics. We measure how the website is used without cookies and without storing your IP address. Only if you agree in the notice do we set two first-party cookies. There are no third-party cookies, ads or tracking by other companies. You can change your choice at any time below or via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

The cookies in detail

  • rh_consent – stores your decision in the notice so we do not ask again. Strictly necessary (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Lifetime 12 months.
  • rh_vid – a random visitor ID that links returning visits. Only with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Lifetime 13 months.
  • rh_src – remembers how you first came to the website (campaign or referring website and landing page) so we can relate it to a later enquiry. Only with your consent. Lifetime 90 days.

All three are cookies of rheonda.de itself (first-party cookies); their content is only sent to our own servers. If you decline or withdraw your consent, we delete rh_vid and rh_src immediately.

Audience measurement without cookies

To understand which content is read and where our website falls short, we use the open-source software Umami on our own servers. Collected are: page viewed, referring website, campaign parameters (utm_…), browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, country/region as well as loading times and individual actions (e.g. steps in the contact form, search terms, opened profiles). Nothing is stored on your device. Your IP address is not stored; to count unique visitors it is combined with other characteristics and a random value that changes daily into a checksum, so visits on different days cannot be linked.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing the website according to need (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object: with the switch below, or via your browser’s “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” setting – we honour both.

Local storage

  • theme – your chosen colour scheme (light/dark), only if you use the toggle at the top right.
  • umami.disabled – only if you switch off audience measurement for this device below.

Both live only in your browser’s local storage, are not transmitted to us and are required for the function you asked for (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete them at any time in your browser settings (“clear site data”).

Contact form and appointment booking

The contact form stores nothing in your browser. When you submit it, we additionally transmit where your visit came from (campaign or referring website and landing page) and – only with your consent – your visitor ID so that we can classify the enquiry. See the privacy policy for details.

Video calls

The link to a booked video call leads to meet.rheonda.de, our self-hosted video conferencing system. Technically necessary settings (e.g. display name, choice of camera and microphone) may be stored locally in your browser there.
