Claim and anti-claim management in depth
Claim and anti-claim, schedule-based delay analysis, documentation and the review of claims.
1Claim and anti-claim
2Schedule-based delay analysis
Claims arising from disruptions require cause and effect to be demonstrated transparently. We insert the disruptions into the contractual as-planned sequence, show their effect on the critical path and separate them from delays within one’s own sphere.
As-planned, disruption-adjusted and as-built sequence (schematic)
Disruptions B1 and B2 in the sphere of the client, V1 in that of the contractor
3Documentation as the foundation
Claims are founded on site. We help build timely, complete and verifiable documentation:
- Daily reports with staff, plant and progress
- Disruption notices and their follow-up
- Drawing receipt and approval logs
- Updated schedules
- Photo documentation with date and location
Model-based daily reports locate every activity on its element. Planned and actual states can be compared visually for any date: a presentation that third parties without scheduling expertise can follow.
4Reviewing claims
Basis of claim
Is there a deviation from the contractually agreed scope?Causation
Does the disruption really affect the critical path, or was there float or an own delay?Amount
Were the costs actually incurred, plausible and derivable from the estimate?Basis for negotiation
Document the review transparently as the basis for a settlement.
